Admission Criteria

  • We provide a continuum of residential services for adults with a range of emotional and behavioral disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

    Applicants for our residential services may have needs that range from minimal care and supervision to more intensive levels of care and supervision. Most applicants will have the following diagnoses:

    - Emotional/behavioral disorders

    - Intellectual/developmental disabilities

    - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • We also provide supports for various medical conditions, including:

    - Hearing and visual impairment

    - Seizures

    - Stable cardiac conditions

    - Diabetes

    - Respiratory ailments

    - Multiple physical disorders

    Additionally, we offer clinical supports for conditions such as:

    - Schizophrenia

    - Senile dementia

    - Depression

    - Anxiety

    - Aggression

    - Paranoia

    - Organic brain syndrome

  • Applicants are evaluated by our admissions team (Program Specialist, Clinician, Program Manager, and CEO) on a case-by-case basis to determine appropriateness for the specific residential setting under consideration. Any individual whose condition or behaviors would jeopardize the safety and welfare of themselves or others may not be eligible for admission. These may include the following:

    - Those who are actively suicidal or psychotic and require stabilization

    - Those who have a history of setting multiple fires, who are identified as pathological fire setters, or who have been prosecuted for arson

    - Those who have been convicted and charged with an offense under Megan’s Law, or who have pending or been convicted of violent sexual offenses such as rape

    - Those who would jeopardize the safety and well-being of others, such as those who engage in extremely violent and aggressive behaviors

    - Those who actively use illicit drugs and abuse alcohol
